Ilford

After a recent visit to Ilford I managed to take many shots of run down and derelict buildings, I think these are a great contrast to the previous images of Totnes and Sandygate as these relay a more friendly, bright and positive feeling, whereas these following shots are very grey and dark.

This was one of the first shots I took, using a manual shoot mode with digital image stablisation. It nicely frames 3 buildings which doesn't even start to capture the sheer amount of derelict buildings on the site.

This shot was a more close up look at one of the buildings. Really captures the age of the place as the plants creep over the building. Almost showing nature and man's creations coming together.

This shot was taken from inside one of the buildings and shows light spilling through the hole in the ceiling, I feel the light that trickles through helps to brighten the image up as well as cast some eerie shadows.
